Privacy Policy

HIGASHIDEYA, K.K. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the mobile application "Piano Score Fighter" (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and other user information related to the App. It is written to comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and, for users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland, with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and equivalent laws.

2. Information We Collect

The App does not require you to register an account with your name, address or phone number. Your game progress and settings are, in principle, stored only on your device. We or third-party services collect the following information.

(1) Subscription verification

  • Support ID (a random ID generated by the App for each device)
  • Platform (iOS / Android) and app version
  • Subscription information (product ID, plan, status, expiration date, last verified date)
  • Store purchase data (transaction ID or purchase token, stored on our server in hashed or encrypted form)

We do not collect payment details such as credit card numbers. Payments are processed by Apple or Google.

(2) Device transfer (data transfer to a new device), only if you use it

  • Game data (progress, battle records, items, usage records, etc.)
  • Device name or model, device identifier, OS type and version
  • Transfer ID and password (valid for 14 days after issue)

(3) Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows rewarded ads, which you choose to watch, through Google AdMob. Google collects the following information to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud:

  • Advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android)
  • IP address, information about your device and the App, and information about ad views and interactions

(4) Support inquiries

  • Information you provide, such as your email address, the content of your inquiry and your Support ID

(5) Server logs

  • IP address, date and time, and request details when the App communicates with our server

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

  • Verifying and managing subscriptions: performance of a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b))
  • Device transfer: performance of a contract at your request (Art. 6(1)(b))
  • Personalized advertising and storing or accessing information on your device: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Without consent, we show non-personalized ads
  • Ad measurement and fraud prevention, server security and troubleshooting: our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f))
  • Responding to inquiries: performance of a contract or our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b)(f))
  • Complying with laws: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c))

4. Advertising Consent and How to Change It

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the App asks for your consent regarding ads through Google's consent management tool when you first launch it. If you do not consent, you can still use rewarded ads, and non-personalized ads will be shown.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time from "Privacy Settings" on the World screen of the App. On iOS, you can also change the App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission at any time in the Settings app.

5. Recipients and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties other than the following, except as required by law.

  • Apple Inc. (App Store / App Store Server API: subscription verification)
  • Google LLC (Google Play / Google Play Developer API: subscription verification)
  • Google LLC (Google AdMob: advertising, information in Section 2(3))
  • XServer Inc. (hosting of our server, in Japan)

6. International Transfers

Our server is located in Japan. The European Commission has recognized Japan as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data (adequacy decision). Google may process data in the United States and other countries; such transfers are made under safeguards set by Google, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Data Retention

  • Subscription information: as long as necessary to manage your subscription, and for the periods required by accounting and tax laws
  • Device transfer data: overwritten when you register a transfer again, and deleted upon your request. The transfer ID and password expire 14 days after issue
  • Server logs: 14 days (automatically deleted afterwards)
  • Support inquiries: as long as necessary after the inquiry is resolved
  • Advertising data: in accordance with Google's policies

8. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your information, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal).

Because we do not collect your name, please include the "Support ID" shown on the App's settings screen with your request. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures, including encrypted communication (HTTPS), hashing or encryption of purchase data, and access restrictions on our server.

10. Cookies

Pages of our website displayed via WebView within the App may use cookies to improve your experience.

12. Children's Privacy

Users who are minors should use the App with the consent of a parent or guardian. In the EEA and similar regions, consent regarding ads for users under the age set by each country (16, or 13 to 15 in some countries) must be given by a parent or guardian.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. We will notify you of material changes in the App or on this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent again.
